Surrounded by the breathtaking Carpathian mountains, our girls enjoyed a truly unforgettable Shabbaton filled with friendship, joy, and renewed strength. From the lively train ride to the meaningful group activities, the entire weekend carried the warmth of being part of the Mishpacha family. It was more than a getaway — it was an energizing retreat that lifted spirits and reminded every girl of her inner potential.
The journey began early Friday morning as the Project EnerJew girls boarded the train, suitcases in hand and spirits high. Conversations, music, and laughter filled the compartments, turning the ride itself into the start of an unforgettable adventure. It was a special chance to step away from daily stresses, reconnect with friends, and welcome Shabbat together in a joyful and supportive environment.
Their destination? The breathtaking Carpathian mountains, where the magic of the Shabbaton awaited them. The moment they arrived, the crisp mountain air and stunning landscape set a peaceful tone. The girls were welcomed into a bright, beautifully decorated space adorned with festive flags and warm colors, a setting that immediately made everyone feel at home.
The Shabbaton was filled with meaning and connection. The girls took part in engaging discussions, creative workshops, and inspiring sessions led by their madrichot. Gathered in a circle, they shared reflections, stories, and words of encouragement. Through heartfelt singing, delicious meals, and time spent together, the group embraced the spirit of Shabbat with joy and unity.
Even amid the challenges of the ongoing war, the girls showed remarkable resilience. Together, they explored themes of identity, gratitude, inner courage, and what it means to support one another through life’s most difficult chapters. New friendships blossomed, long-standing bonds deepened, and the sense of belonging grew stronger with every shared moment.
By the end of the weekend, the smiles were brighter than ever. The girls returned home uplifted — their hearts full, their spirits renewed, and their connections strengthened. It was a weekend that reminded them how powerful it is to come together, celebrate their Jewish identity, and continue growing with hope and confidence.
We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff and to the generous supporters who make experiences like this possible. Your kindness brings light, joy, and stability to our Mishpacha family, giving our girls moments they will carry with them for a lifetime.
